I started Rayview out of my love for music. When I'm working, when I'm relaxing, when I'm driving, there's almost always something playing. Almost any genre, any artist. I just love to listen.

Every review I write goes deeper than just "this sounds good." I dig into the production choices, the storytelling, the artwork, the cultural context. Music doesn't exist in a vacuum. A great album is shaped by the world around it, and I think that story deserves to be told. When I reviewed Marvin Gaye's What's Going On, it wasn't just about the music. It was about a man fighting his own label, channeling his brother's war trauma, and creating something timeless out of real pain. That's the kind of depth I bring to every piece.

Beyond the scores, Rayview is also about the visual side of music. Album artwork gets its own dedicated rating because a great cover can elevate an entire project. The best and worst covers are showcased in curated galleries, and live performances are documented so you can experience the energy firsthand.

And this isn't just my platform. It's a community. You can write your own reviews, rate albums on the dial, reply to other listeners, follow reviewers you vibe with, and discover new music through genre archives, curated lists, and the randomizer. Your voice matters here just as much as mine.

How I Rate

I don't just slap a number on an album and call it a day. Every review breaks down eight categories: Production, Originality, Replay Value, Lyrics, Cohesion, Enjoyment, Overall Score, and Cover Art. Each one matters. A project with incredible production but lazy lyrics won't get a pass, and an album with a groundbreaking concept but terrible mixing won't either. The final score is honest, and the tiers speak for themselves:
